Josie Botes

Josie Botes is a qualified Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist working in multiple fields throughout her career such as the Fitness industry as well as the Allied Health industry. Josie has been working in the Health and Fitness Industry since she started studying in 2004 by working in clinics and with the Dandenong Stingrays football club working alongside a Physiotherapist for recovery massages during training sessions.

In 2007 Josie qualified as a Personal trainer, Fitness Instructor and Group Exercise Instructor where she got a position as a Personal Trainer in a gym. In 2008 Josie also qualified with her Massage Certificate and in 2009 she went abroad for 2 years working on board 6* Luxury Cruise liners such as The Yachts of Seabourn as a Fitness Instructor & Massage Therapist.

In 2011 Josie came back to Melbourne to study for her Diploma of Remedial Massage and Sports Massage and in 2012 she moved to Cape Town, South Africa where she opened Body Physics Massage, working in a multi-disciplinary practice with Physiotherapist, Sports Doctor and Dietitian. After building a successful practice she decided to do one last contract on board the cruise ships as a Massage Therapist, travelling the world to return home to her home town of Melbourne to open MyoPhysics Massage Therapy. Whilst having her own practice in South Africa, Josie was involved in treating Super Rugby teams from Australia and New Zealand, as well as working with the Wallabies rugby team. She also treated the running, cycling and iron man (triathlon) community and often worked at 2-3 day stage races for post race massages.

Since her return to Australia in 2017 Josie has opened MyoPhysics Massage Therapy alongside PhysioFit Berwick treating members of the community of Berwick and surrounding suburbs. She is also involved with treating elite athletes in Melbourne by massaging teams such as Wallabies rugby, most of the Super Rugby teams as well as NRL rugby teams such as the Cowboys rugby and the Knights.

Josie is now furthering her knowledge and is currently completing a Bachelor of Health Science degree at University in Clinical Myotherapy. Josie is very passionate about the Allied Health Industry and working with other health professionals for the benefit of the patients.
